FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How can I see what I'd look like after plastic surgery?
Upload a clear, front-facing photo, choose a treatment and how much, and you'll get a before and after preview of your own face in about a minute. For nose and chin treatments, add a straight side profile. Bring the preview to your consultation so you and your practitioner are discussing the same result.
Is there an app that shows what you'd look like with plastic surgery?
Yes. Our preview works in your phone's browser, so there's nothing to download. Pick a face or hair treatment, upload a photo, and compare before and after with a slider.
Is there a free plastic surgery simulator?
Yes. Your first preview is free and watermarked. High-resolution images, side profiles and video previews are a one-time purchase, with no subscription.
Can AI show me what I'd look like with Botox or fillers?
Yes. You can preview anti-wrinkle injections for forehead and frown lines, lip filler at 0.5, 1 or 2 ml, and cheek, chin, jaw and under-eye filler. You can also preview nose reshaping, eyelid and brow lifts, face and neck lifts, skin treatments, and hair and beard transplants.
How accurate is an AI plastic surgery preview?
It shows a realistic, typical result for the amount you choose, but it can't account for your bone structure, skin elasticity or how you heal. Treat it as a picture to discuss, not a promise. Only an in-person consultation can tell you what's achievable for you.
Are the people in these before and after photos real patients?
No. The people shown are models, not actual patients, and the after images are simulations of a typical result. We'll only ever show someone as a patient if they are one and have given written consent.
What should I look for in before and after photos?
The same lighting, angle and distance in both shots; a neutral expression with no smile; no makeup or filters; and a date or time since treatment. Results from the same practitioner across several cases tell you more than one standout photo.
What is the difference between plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery?
Plastic surgery covers reconstructive work, such as repairing injuries or birth differences, as well as cosmetic work. Cosmetic surgery is the part done purely to change appearance, such as a nose job, eyelid lift or face lift.
Is Botox plastic surgery?
No. Botox is an injection that relaxes the muscles that cause forehead lines, frown lines and crow's feet. It takes about 15 minutes, needs no cuts or anaesthetic, and wears off after 3–4 months.
What is the most common cosmetic procedure?
Anti-wrinkle injections such as Botox are the most performed cosmetic treatment, followed by hyaluronic acid fillers. Among surgeries, liposuction, eyelid surgery and nose reshaping are consistently near the top.
How much does plastic surgery cost?
In the US, Botox costs about $200–$400 per area and lip filler $500–$1,000 per ml. Rhinoplasty runs $8,000–$15,000, a face lift $12,000–$30,000, and an FUE hair transplant $5,000–$20,000. Surgery prices include surgeon, anaesthesia and facility fees, and they vary by city.
How long do the results last?
Botox lasts 3–4 months. Lip filler lasts 6–12 months, and cheek, chin and jaw filler 12–18 months. A face lift lasts about 7–10 years. Rhinoplasty and transplanted hair are permanent, although you keep ageing naturally.
Does a hair transplant really work?
For most people with stable hair loss and enough donor hair at the back of the head, yes: transplanted hair keeps growing for life. The new hair falls out first, then grows back from about month 3, with the full result at 9–12 months. You may still lose untreated hair over time, which is why many people also use medication.
How painful is it, and what is recovery like?
Injections feel like a quick pinch, and numbing cream helps. Most people return to normal plans the same day, with some swelling or bruising for a few days. Surgery is done under anaesthesia; expect 1–2 weeks of swelling and limited activity for most face procedures and 2–3 weeks for a face lift.
What is the most regretted cosmetic procedure?
Regret is usually less about the procedure and more about results that look overdone or don't match what the person expected. Previewing first, starting with a conservative amount and choosing an experienced practitioner are the best ways to avoid it.
How do I choose a plastic surgeon or injector?
Check they're board-certified or licensed for the exact treatment you want. Ask to see their own before and after cases, and find out who handles complications and how. Be wary of unusually low prices or pressure to book on the day.
